On September 20, 2010, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm, Representative Miklosi will be hosting a second job fair at Thomas Jeffeson High School in southeast Denver.  Over 20 diverse companies will be present and hiring.  The companies will be hiring both experienced and entry level positions.  More details about the companies and positions will be available soon. Directions to Thomas Jefferson High School at 3950 South Holly Street:  From I-25, take Hampden Avenue west a half a mile.  Go South on South Holly Street approximately one mile.  The high school is on your left.  Free parking is available in the school parking lot.

The Capitol is looking for energetic students for tour guide positions.  Must enjoy walking, public speaking and answering the telephone!  35 hour work weeks begin May 17th through August 6th 2010.  Pay is $10 / hour.  Interviews will take place March 15th - March 31st.

Arapahoe, Douglas, Denver Counties to host youth job fair
Anyone age 14-21 already on the lookout for a summer job in Arapahoe, Douglas and Denver Counties will find their best opportunity at a regional job fair from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the Colorado Convention Center (700 14th St.).

An annual event associated with the Governor’s Summer Youth Job Hunt, the fair this year marks the first time the three counties have collaborated to provide youth the chance to conduct a Metro Denver area job search under one roof. The Denver Office of Economic Development and Arapahoe/Douglas Works! have partnered for this important employment initiative.

The Governor’s Summer Job Hunt assists young adults by matching their skills, interests and work experience with appropriate employers. Offered annually, the program looks to expose youths to the working world in several exciting fields, including retail, restaurants, hospitality, catering, recreation, sports and entertainment.

For young people to connect with these employers, they will need to bring a photo ID and their Social Security Number. Because on-site interviews are a possibility, attendees should dress professionally and bring multiple hard copies of their resumes.
